12/20/10 – Bellevue Man Sentenced to Prison Over Counterfeit Honey Imports – Chung Po Liu, 70, of Bellevue, Washington, was sentenced today to one year and a day in prison, and six months of home detention as part of a year of supervised release, and $400,000 in restitution for counterfeit honey imports.
- 8/26/10 – Plea agreement by Chung Po Liu – According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Liu admits that from 2005 to 2008 he imported 22 shipments of re-labeled Chinese honey. Under the plea terms, Liu must forfeit twice his gross profit – $400,000 – and four seized honey shipments. Prosecutors will ask that he be sentenced to two years in prison.
